அவ்வை தமிழ்ச் சங்கம் வழங்கும் நம் பாரம்பரிய உணவு தானியங்கள்

நம் தமிழ் கலாச்சார உணவு நம் உடல்நலத்தை பேணிக்காப்பதாக இருந்து வந்தது. நாம் அனைவரும் புலம்பெயர்ந்து தொலை தூரம் வந்துவிட்டபடியால், நம் பாரம்பரிய உணவுதானியங்கள் அதிகம் கிடைப்பதுமில்லை, நாம் பயன்படுத்துவதும் இல்லை. வரகு, கம்பு, சோளம், சாமை, திணை போன்ற நம் உணவு தானியங்களில் எவ்வளவு சத்துக்களும் உடல் நலமும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது என்பது சமீபத்திய அறிவியல் ஆராய்ச்சி உண்மைகள் வெளிப்படுத்துகின்றன. அயல்நாடுகளில் பல துரித உணவுகளால் ஒவ்வாமை அதிகரித்து gluten-free உணவுகளை நோக்கி போய்க் கொண்டிருக்கையில் நமக்கு அவை தேவைப் படாததற்கு காரணம், நாம் பல தலைமுறைகளாக இந்த gluten-free தானியங்களையும் மற்ற நஞ்சற்ற உணவுகளையும் உண்டு வருவதால் தான்.

 

இந்த தானியங்கள் இங்கே கிடைக்காத காரணத்தால், நமக்காகவே திருமதி சித்ரா பாண்டியன் மற்றும் பாண்டியன் தம்பதியர் பல அறிய உணவு தானியங்களை தமிழ்நாட்டிலிருந்து வரவழைத்து நம் பகுதி மக்களுக்கு சேவை செய்து வருகிறார்கள். நம் அவ்வை தமிழ்ச் சங்க உறுப்பினர்களுக்காக அவர்கள் லாபமில்லா நோக்கோடு நாம் மொத்த ஆர்டர் கொடுப்பின் 10% தள்ளுபடியோடு நம் விழா அன்று கொண்டு வந்து கொடுக்க இசைந்துள்ளார்கள்.

Always Tamil/south Indian traditional foods have been healthy. Since we all have migrated far to this place, we could not get our traditional grains and we could not use them. Our food grains like Kodo millet, Pearl millet, Great millet, Little millet and Foxtail millet are scientifically established with their invaluable nutrients and health benefits. While allergies to certain foods have been increasing in Western countries, where people are looking for and moving towards gluten-free diet, our traditional foods are naturally gluten-free and healthy too.

Since we do not get these grains here, Mrs. Chithra and Mr. Pandian couple are doing their best service to the community by getting them available here from Tamil Nadu. On no profit – no loss basis, they have agreed to give a 10% discount to Avvai Tamil Sangam members and supply during the event if we make bulk order.
