இடு மணல் எக்கர் அகன் கானல் சேர்ப்பன் கடு மான் மணி அரவம் என்று, கொடுங்குழை புள் அரவம் கேட்டுப் பெயர்ந்தாள், சிறுகுடியர் உள்ளரவம் நாணுவர் என்று.   On hearing the chirps of birds, the girl wearing curved earrings moved away,   thinking people in the small village would be embarrassed that they were sounds of the bells on the horses of the lord of the shores with wide groves and sand dunes heaped by waves. விளக்கம்: தோழி தலைவனிடம் பறவைகளின் ஒலியைத் தம் தலைவன் விரைவாய்ச் செல்லும் குதிரைகளின் ஒலி என்று எண்ணி, தலைவி ஏமாந்து சென்றாள்  பரதவர் பயங் கொள்வாரோ என்று நினைத்து இரவுகுறியிடம் வரை சென்று உன்னைப் பார்க்காமல் திரும்பி விட்டாள்" என்று கூறினாள். பொருள்: இடு மணல் எக்கர் அகன் கானல் சேர்ப்பன் – the lord of the shores with sand brought by waves and wide groves, கடு மான் மணி அரவம் என்று – thinking that it is the sounds of the bells of the fast horses, கொடுங்குழை – one with curved earrings, புள் அரவம் கேட்டுப் பெயர்ந்தாள் – heard the birds chirping and moved away, சிறுகுடியர் உள்ளரவம் நாணுவர் என்று – thinking that the fishermen in the small community would be embarrassed. source: https://pathinenkeelkanakku.wordpress.com/ஐந்திணை-எழுபது/

பெண்களுக்கு எதிரான அனைத்துலக வன்முறை ஒழிப்பு நாள் ·         பெண்களுக்கு எதிரான அனைத்துலக வன்முறை ஒழிப்பு நாள் (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) ஆண்டுதோறும் நவம்பர் 25 ஆம் நாள் அன்று உலகெங்கணும் கொண்டாடப்பட்டு வரும் ஒரு சிறப்பு நாள் ஆகும். ·         உலகளாவிய ரீதியில் பெண்கள் இன்று பல விதமான வன்முறைகளுக்கு உட்படுத்தப்படுகின்றனர். பெண்களுக்கு எதிரான வன்முறைகளை வெளி உலகிற்கு காட்டி அதற்கான நியாயமான தீர்க்கமான முடிவுகளை எடுப்பதற்காக சர்வதேச மகளிர் தினம் மற்றும் பெண்களுக்கு எதிரான வன்முறைகள் ஒழிப்பு சர்வதேச தினம் ஆகியன முன்வைக்கப்படுகின்றன. ·         ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் பொதுச்சபை 1999 டிசம்பர் 17 ஆம் நாள் கூடிய போது ஆண்டு தோறும் நவம்பர் 25 ஆம் நாளை பெண்களுக்கு எதிரான வன்முறைகள் ஒழிப்பு சர்வதேச தினமாகப் பிரகடனம் செய்யும் தீர்மானத்தை நிறைவேற்றியது. இத்தீர்மானம் ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் அவையின் 54/ 134. இலக்க பிரேரணையாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டது.. மேலும் படிக்க
