Dear Well-Wisher,
Greetings from Delhi!
This is my 48th of the periodical DRK's Newsletters on various themes of interest.
This Newsletter is about the all-important subject of "Mental Caregivers are Modern Angels" – Preventing and Healing alarming new pandemic of Mental Illness and depression . (Copy Attached)
As desired by many friends around the World, I have been sharing some of my thoughts on various themes/events of interest, through periodical Newsletters.
The reason for writing such periodic long letters has been explained in my previous letters. I feel encouraged when I hear from many many individuals and organisations including eminent and very busy personalities from all walks of life around the world that they found them very valuable, forward them to many others and even print some of them for further distribution widely.
Some themes may not be of interest to some and they may find such letters to be rather lengthy. But I have to do justice to the chosen theme/event/ organisation. Many request for even more comprehensive treatment of some themes. The focus of this newsletter is on the alarming increase in Mental Illness of various degrees, born congenital or acquired later in life due to various factors.
The new pandemic of addiction of even children to gadgets like mobile and toxic social media is causing concern all over the world. They go to the extent of even harming themselves and committing suicide. The priority of everyone should be on timely prevention and healing. The subject is too vast to be covered in a short newsletter.
I am focusing on only one model institution during my recent visit to Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. The problems, challenges and success stories of this institution should inspire individuals and institutions everywhere. That is my humble hope with which I am sharing my observations. This Newsletter also carries an interesting story of A simple and humble mother creates a Grand Master, by her total dedication.
This letter also is rather long and hence may be seen only when you have the time to spare and if the theme is of any interest to you.
In case you like the matter, you are welcome to kindly forward the same to others. I would very much welcome your valuable suggestions, improvements even corrections, if any found appropriate by your goodself.
With Regards and Best Wishes,
D R Kaarthikeyan
