சிறு மீன் கவுள் கொண்ட செந்தூவி நாராய் இறு மென் குரல நின் பிள்ளைகட்கேயாகி நெறி நீர் இருங்கழிச் சேர்ப்பன் அகன்ற நெறியறிதி மீன்தபு நீ   O stork with red feathers who has small fish in your beak, who kills fish for your children with plaintive, delicate chirps !   You know the manner in which the lord of the shores with vast, flowing backwaters left me. விளக்கம்: "சிறு மீன்களைத் தன் அலகிடைக் கொண்ட சிவந்த இறகுகளையுடைய நாராய்! மெல்லிய குரலையுடைய நின் குஞ்சுகளையே எண்ணி மீன்களைக் கொத்திக் கொல்லும் நீ, களவுப் புணர்ச்சியில் எம்மைக் கண்டுள்ளாய். ஆகையினால் வளைந்து செல்லும் உப்பங்கழிகள் மிகுதியாக உள்ள கடல் துறைத்தலைவன் என்னை விட்டு நீங்கிய நன்மையை நன்றாய் அறிவாய்" என்று தலைவன் பொருள் வயிற் பிரிந்த காலத்து வருந்திய தலைவி, நாரையைப் பார்த்து கூறினாள். பொருள்: சிறு மீன் கவுள் கொண்ட – having small fish in your beak, செந்தூவி நாராய் – O stork with red feathers, இறு மென் குரல நின் பிள்ளைகட்கேயாகி – for your children with sad delicate chirps, நெறி நீர் – flowing water, இருங்கழிச் சேர்ப்பன் – the lord of the vast/dark backwaters, அகன்ற நெறி அறிதி – you know the manner in which he left, மீன்தபு நீ – you who kills fish. முற்றும் 69, 70 இரண்டு பாடல்களும் மறைந்தன – Poems 69 and 70 have been lost. source: https://pathinenkeelkanakku.wordpress.com/ஐந்திணை-எழுபது/
